First of all, congratulations are in order if you're considering a newborn session! You're having a baby! Whether it's your first or your fourth, this extraordinary time in your family's life needs to be documented. For that reason, I would really, really like to tell you all about my lifestyle newborn session. It's one of my favorite things I do as a photographer. So grab a coffee (or whatever it is you're drinking these days), get comfy, and read / drool over pictures of the following adorable, tiny humans.
Chances are you have researched the heck out of everything baby (diapers, strollers, feeding, and more). You've probably made hundreds of decisions already. When deciding about a newborn session, the answer is emphatically "yes".
Now its time for you to consider what kind of experience you want to have and what you want your memories to look like. Ask yourself the following types of questions: How would I like to feel during our newborn session? What kind of experience would I like to have? What kind of images do I want captured?
Your lifestyle newborn session takes place in your home in the first four weeks of baby's life with natural light and a stress-free environment. We will use the session as an extended celebration of your baby's arrival because it's important to me that you not only love your pictures, but that you love your experience, too.
Newborn photos are an investment in something priceless- memories of a time you can never get back, but that you always want to remember. I want to give you the absolute priceless gift of beautiful photography you can cherish for generations to come! But I want to do it in a way the continues to celebrate the arrival of your baby. I want to do it in a way captures your family as it is in gorgeous light. I want to do it in a way that has you comfortable in your own home, being with your family, playing with your kids, drinking your coffee, swaddling your baby (and pretty much anything else that happens of a morning in your home).
Your baby will be photographed sleeping or waking, cooing or crying, naked or clothed. We'll laugh if there's a blow out, take a break if the baby needs to eat, and help if there needs to be a wardrobe change (you know all sorts of things happen with a baby in the house).
The shoot will vary from me following your family's lead (changing diaper, talking to your baby, playing as a family), to gentle direction from me on what to do and where to go in a way that seems natural. We will get a few timeless family portraits, shots of the baby's precious details, and those really meaningful lifestyle moments with and of your baby.
My job is to give you the experienced I've described and gift you with the types of photographs you see. And I am so, so happy to do it. As a mom of three, I not only understand how you're feeling at this very moment but I know where you're headed years down the road... You think you love your newborn photos now? Wait until that baby is turning six and has lost every ounce of baby fat and is asking you questions like, "How does the internet work?" or "Do you have to be married to kiss a boy?"
Trust me. You'll be whipping those photos out and clinging to them for dear life!
I would love to capture your sweet, precious, exhausted, emotional, joyous, momentous, and deliriously happy memories! Please contact me for information about collections or contact me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
